Our School

Manteca Martial Arts has been offering classes in Manteca California since 1989. Having produced hundreds of black belt students in the martial arts as well as life.

Chief Instructor Sensei Mark Cameron, Manteca Martial Arts in Manteca Ca offers a variety of specialized programs for all ages, to achieve physical fitness, self defense, and life skills in the martial arts.
Only the best will do.

The instructors at Manteca Martial Arts are continuously being trained in their martial arts training as well as their teaching skills. This insures they stay on top of their game so our students can stay on top of theirs. With weekly meetings and training sessions we work hard at being the best.

How to look for a school
When most people begin their search for a martial arts program they are unsure of exactly what to look for. So here are some tips that you may find useful.
When many parents enroll their children in martial arts schools, self defense is, of course, the primary reason why parents want their children to learn the critical skills martial arts teaches. Increased concentration and self discipline are the other skills that parents appreciate most about martial arts as an educational supplement for their children.

Step one in choosing a school is to clearly understand what you want you or your child to gain from learning the martial arts. Is it a light recreation? Then a community center program may suffice. Is it self-defense or personal development? If so, then a full-time professional school will be more suitable. Many parents view the martial arts as part of their child's educational development. With a good professional school, this is very possible.

Step two is to recognize that choosing a school is really choosing an instructor. Be sure to visit the school and watch the instructor work with other children of the same age. There is a direct correlation between the level of professional excellence the instructor possesses and the school itself. Don't get confused by claims of black belt degrees, tournament wins or martial art styles. The only style that matters is the teaching style of the instructor and how your child will respond to him or her.

Finally, trust your instincts. A professional school will have a family atmosphere, lots of smiles and be well kept. You'll feel comfortable with the personnel and the facility.
While this may not end up being the closest school to your house, when it comes to your safety or the safety and education of your child, an extra ten minute drive can make a world of difference in the outcome.

Leadership Programs
At Manteca Martial Arts we encourage our students to become Junior Instructors and instructors as soon as they achieve the rank of Green Belt. This enables them to be part of our leadership team, giving them the opportunity to attend seminars, specialized classes as well as certification to improve their communication as well as martial arts skills.

Demonstration Team
Manteca Martial Arts has a highly motivated as well as proficient demonstration team. Adults and children perform at local functions such as the Manteca Christmas Parade, Retirement homes, Hospitals, Schools and local churches and businesses. This team builds comradery and team work as well as a sense of belonging. We never charge for these performances as this is one of many community services we offer at Manteca Martial Arts.

Home School / Charter School Program
Manteca Martial Arts is a proud vendor to a number of charter schools in the Manteca, Lathrop, French Camp, Tracy, Stockton and Modesto area. We offer convenient day classes for children as well as adult students.

A visit from an ISDI parent and author Monica Cane.

Thank you for visiting me on my virtual book tour stop at ISDI! I chose ISDI as one of my stops for this tour because I have witnessed the positive transformation that martial arts training has had in the lives of ISDI students.   In my book, The Lost Coin, a number of my characters are in need of some real transformation as well.  If only Sensei Mark Cameron and ISDI had been part of the story maybe some of my crazy characters could have straightened out.  Who knows…Perhaps in the next book.

During your visit I will answer questions that have been asked of me about, The Lost Coin, what it’s like to be an author and even a little about the publishing process.  Enjoy your time here and after your done, be sure to go back to my website www.abreathofinspiration.com to find out where the next stop of the virtual book tour will be so that you can learn more.
Q.  What is The Lost Coin about?
A.  The Lost Coin is about an eighteen year old girl, Elaina Munroe, in search of her identity.  She was brought up in a good faith-filled home, with a loving family but feels that they are much too over protective and are keeping her back from being all that she could be.  Believing she is mature enough to handle life and pursue her dream of dancing in Southern California, Elaina leaves home without telling her family.  Almost immediately, she meets a handsome stranger, Nick Weston, who seems to have all the answers.   What she doesn’t know is that Nick is a con-artist who has an agenda all his own.  The more Elaina becomes involved with Nick, the more complicated her life becomes and the farther she drifts away from her family and her faith, wondering if she’ll ever find her way back.
Q.  Is there a spiritual lesson you hope readers will grasp from The Lost Coin?
A.    Yes, there is.  While I believe The Lost Coin is an intriguing and very entertaining story, I hope when readers finish the last page, they will have a better understanding of God’s unconditional love and mercy.   And also that they will understand that no matter where their choices might have led them, they are never too far away from God.
Q.     Have you always wanted to write books?
A.      I never thought about writing a book, or articles or any type of publication that people would read.  I just liked writing as a way to express myself when I was young.  I was a very emotional child so when I tried to express my feelings, my emotions would often jumble up what I really wanted to say.  However, when I wrote what I felt, it was so much easier for me.
Q.     What’s the best thing about writing for you?
A.      There are two things that I love most about writing.  First, creating something out of nothing.  It’s amazing to start with a blank page and then write something that actually makes sense when you’re finished.  The most important however is the way I can talk to God and feel His presence while I’m writing.  So many times when I’m in the midst of pounding the keys, I’ll stop and thank God for a sentence that sounded so much better than what I could have written without His help, which of course is pretty much everything.
Q.  What type of encouragement can you give to people interested in writing a book?
A.    I would have to say…JUST DO IT!  Whether it’s a book about martial art techniques or your whole life story, whether your book is on every bookshelf in every store or simply shared amongst your closest friends and family, if you have a desire to write, you should.  It’s very rewarding and you just never know what God might do with your story.
Q. What is your favorite thing that you have written and why?
A.    I think whatever I’m presently working on tends to be my favorite but I would have to say, my first devotional article, Mighty Warrior from my first book, A Breath of Inspiration is my all time favorite because it was the first time I realized God gave me the ability to write.
Q.  Last question, how can people order The Lost Coin and also learn more about you? A.  That’s easy.  Visit me at www.Abreathofinspiration.com.
Thanks for letting me stop by Sensei Mark and Jamie.
